Nowhere to mourn

This is a very personal song.  The reference to the church and Walesby Road is central to the song as it denotes an amazing deserted old church on a hill which is just the most exhilarating place to visit.  For me the song and the church are totally inter-related and I try to visit Walesby old Church as often as possible (it is near to Market Rasen in Lincolnshire).

6 bars

It’s the end of  this page I’ve read I don’t understand if the heroes dead
For  the ashes they have all blown away I’ve nowhere to mourn I’ve nowhere to pray

This means nothing, nothing to you
This means nothing, nothing to you
This means nothing, nothing to you
This means nothing, nothing to you

Bitter winds are now biting through but you know I’ll always remember you
Although Walesby road is a life away and that church is where I will go to say yeah yeah

Mon Pere
Yeah yeah
Mon Pere
It’s the end of  this page I’ve read I don’t understand if the heroes dead
Cos the ashes they have all blown away I’ve nowhere to mourn I’ve nowhere to pray
