Born April 3rd in 1986.  Born and raised in the country where people have hairy palms, webbed feet and they marry their cousins.  I like it because it ’s so quiet and it isn’t as daunting as the city.  Born under the star sign of the Ram, I enjoy long walks on the beach, 99’s with a flake have a fetish for T-Shirts.

My hobbies include mountain bike trials; I am part of and founder of, Team Revel mountain bike trials display team.  Travelling around Norfolk displaying my skills at local events. Another passion is ink under the skin with several tattoos myself; I soon hope to begin tattooing from home in the not too distant future. It is one of the most expressive and sentimental genres of Art. It is beautiful to see artwork on someone’s flesh. There are endless ideas and beauty held inside the needle.

But one passion in my life that’s been around longer than anything else is my love of the 3-chord bar (punk in other words).  My first taste of raw fuelled musical emotion was Blink 182’s “Dude Ranch” album in my last year of middle school with songs about peeping toms, adolescence, girls and sleeping with goats!  As soon as I heard this I knew this was the kind of music for me for life.  I fell in love straight away and fell out of love with my forever dying bank balance with the CD’s rapidly growing along sprawling shelves like the icy fingers in Blink 182’s “I miss you” writing my musical fate across the walls of my room.  My three main musical influences are:

My first band a group of 30-somethings with the minds of hormone-fuelled, testosterone-topped kids, are the legendary band “NOFX”, a fierce anti-political weapon yet humorously degrading band that are just top trumps. I recommend downloading “My Vagina” and “180 degrees”.

My second band, are the seminal “Greenday”.  Growing up was great with this band to support me through the trails and tribulations of my life. Early “Greenday” is the best “Greenday”, the new album is good but nothing compares to the earlier albums indeed I would find it hard to suggest any albums that reach this startling height. One song that I would recommend you download, that helped my through, would be “Long View” with a walking bass line – Mike Dirnt you are a genius! It has a chorus that just makes you want to trash whatever room you are in, I recommend you see the video to “Know what I mean”.

My final band are the East bay goth-punk four piece “AFI” (A Fire inside). This band are particularly good if your mood fluctuates towards a darker nature or a very romantic, loving streak, with every instrument prominently heard and Davey Havok’s unique, poetic lyrics. I would recommend downloading “Girls not grey” and “Days of the Phoenix”.

Any ho, from a young age I have been heavily bullied as I was different from the rest, an outsider, the odd kid. Through all my years of the “bete noire” Punk has always been there for me.  I am honoured and flattered to have been asked to join “Ivy” as surreal as it feels.  Everyone has a musical personality and hear is a gauge on mine.

All be it this top 10 isn’t all Punk but download it and see who I musically
am.

1.“80” from Greenday’s second album “Kerplunk”
2.“Every morning” from “Sugar Ray’s” 99 album “14:59”
3.“Kick start my heart” from “Motley Crue’s” “Red, white and Crue’s Greatest Hits”.
4.“What’s my age again?” from “Blink 182’s” “Enema of the State” album.

9.“Answering Machine” by “The Replacements” from the 1984 album “Let it Be”
